Urgent IT for Home Users

With reliance on technology ever-increasing, when things go wrong it's a crisis. We're here to solve your crisis.

Our most common services

With over 20 years of accumulated IT experience, if it can break, we've seen it broken - and fixed it. No matter what precipitated the IT crisis you're having right now, we can tell you what it will take to get it resolved. Some of the most common areas we help home users with are listed below.

Computer Repairs

Computer won't boot up? Cryptic error messages on the screen? Software you depend on doesn't open? That's what we're here for. We'll handle getting it up and running again so you can get back to your life.

Network Support

No internet connection? Can't print to the shared network printer in the living room? Roku or FireTV no longer streaming? Wifi works, but not for the one device you're trying to use right now? We've got this.

Malware Cleanup

Weird pop-ups whenever you're on the web? Computer running painfully slow? Searches redirected to something you've never seen before? Browser windows that won't even let you close them? Malware is much smarter and more devious than it used to be. Consider us your disinfectant.

Why you'll love working with us

Support on your time, on-site or remotely

Remote support means we can help you on your schedule, and all that's required is internet connection. For cases where we have to actually touch equipment to fix problems, we can pick up computers and leave you a loaner, so you won't be totally unable to function even when your computer is down.

Leave the troubleshooting to us

We're the tech experts here, so it's not your responsibliity to identify the problem you're experiencing, or it's cause. All you need to do is describe it: what you see or hear happening. Figuring out what that means is what we're for, so you don't have to use the right techie jargon to get your problems solved - just describe what you experience and we'll take it from there.

Advice you can trust

We don't sell products, either hardware or software, so anything we recommend to you is for your benefit, not for ours. We have no stake in the purchase decisions our clients make. We just want our clients to have what best gives them what they need. We always provide clear estimates of the work involved in all projects.

Ongoing training and support

Our responsibility to our clients doesn't end when we've provided them the tools they need. Making sure they understand how to use them is also part of what we do. You'll get a complete walkthrough any time we make significant changes to tech tools you use, and you can ask us questions about how to utilize any tech we support any time you want - no charge.

Convenient Services

Our users are the center of every aspect of our approach, from when and how work gets done to ensuring that productivity and availability are minimally impacted even when devices have to replaced or offlined.

Robust Solutions

Nobody should settle for just having a problem fixed. The goal should always be to prevent future recurrences. We don't do 'symptom relief'; we look deeper, at why they happened in the first place.

Ethical Practices

Our work involves devices and services that contain the entirety of our users lives and businesses. Trust is essential. Everything we do is aimed at making sure our users feel safe entrusting their devices and data to us.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Meet your technician, Eric.

Eric has worked in IT since 1999, when he joined what was then Strategic Simulations Incorporated. He has only worked in professional technology geekery since his first day at SSI. Eric has since worked in nearly every imaginable industry, from pre-crash Dot Coms to law firms to financial services companies to manufacturing in their tech departments. He’s gotten to be involved in multiple paradigm shifts in the industry prior to the current one (the focus on “the cloud”) and has learned from the example of many others how to do IT - and how not to. Eric works, plays, lives, sleeps and breathes tech. If it were possible, he’d probably eat it, as well.
